A 3-day Event that is Uniquely Fun for Everyone

  • Three night stay at exciting, private Pirates Cove! An unparalleled estate treasure overlooking and 5 minutes from beautiful Lake Mead--aye maty, the booty be great! (3 nights stay is $30,000 for guests when booked with resort directly: our event includes more) See the adventure

  • Rejuvenating R&R  --- 4 swimming pools to read by, a sundeck to nap on, 2 hot tubs to soak in, an indoor theater room and outdoor screen to watch, and a cascading 100 foot waterfall to enjoy..... ahhhh...OR

  • Adventure --- rope swing into 16’ deep pool,  walk the plank (32’ high!), ride the waterslides and giant teeter-totter, hit the gym (fully equipped), shoot hoops (in the pool and on the court), play racquetball, etc.

  • Choose off-site activities, entertaining or heart-pounding, and get a discounted rate we’ve negotiated  

  • A chance to be in THE AMAZING (desert) RACE competition (for some loot, but mostly for fun)  


A few preliminary details:

  • Event is in Boulder City, NV (25 minutes from Las Vegas airport)

  • Dates: if you would like summertime please contact us. The Fall event is September 19th - 22nd

  • We provide accommodations, a dinner, breakfast each morning and a chance to be in THE AMAZING (desert) RACE which is great for team building!

  • This is a fundraiser for a unique children’s literacy program that combines academic tutoring/ entrepreneurship/& athletics to give underprivileged kids hope of success: 100% of the profits go to help them

AteamBC is a 501c3 -- a significant portion of your entry fee is tax deductible (See “Donations…”)

Event Information for THE AMAZING (desert) RACE

PURPOSE: TO RAISE MONEY for higher READING SCORES AND for higher levels OF FUN for everyone!


BC = Boulder City

TAdR = THE AMAZING (desert) RACE (entire event or Saturday competition)

Team  = you and your spouse

TBD  = to be determined

May - June - July ---- Entry period

Aug 4th ---- Final day to sign up TAdR

Late August ---- You will receive an information packet with addresses, discounts on super fun things to do in the area, etc.

Wed Sept 19th ---- Check-in at the resort is 3:30 pm/Kick-off dinner

Thurs Sept 20th - Fri 21st ---- TAdR activities away from Pirates Cove (optional)

Sept 22nd ----THE AMAZING (desert) RACE! (In the morning) Check-out of Pirates Cove by 11am


Eligible Racers/participants: Ten adults (plus a partner) 21+ years with a valid driver’s license. (The way the participants are chosen will be announced at the event)

Donations and money policy: The money you donate goes to fund a fun, engaging and life-changing program for kids that encourages success in life. Donors like you make participation in AteamBC possible for kids who need a hand-up. No one gets paid to plan, organize or carry out this event—100% volunteers, and all profits are donated to Ateam. Early entry fees help us cover costs and be successful in our fundraising effort. If for any reason the TAdR is cancelled we will refund your money. TAX  DEDUCTIBLE INFORMATION:  We are a 501c3. We will provide you with a TAdR event donation receipt within 3 weeks following the race.  

 We Supply/You SupplyTRANSPORTATION: It is your responsibility to get to and from BC. Rides into Vegas, anywhere outside of BC, or to shop or eat out are your responsibility.  For TAdR we supply the vehicles to make this an enjoyable RACE ride! ACCOMMODATIONS: An elite getaway to Pirates Cove resort includes a 3 nights stay. To stay at Pirates Cove it costs $30,000 for 3 nights when booked with them (This is an individual or group rate since they only book the entire resort, not individual rooms) Check-in is at 3:30pm and check-out is by 11am. **Clarification on who gets to stay at the resort-- As with any resort there are a limited number of guests that can stay at Pirates Cove. We have the entire resort booked and that means 50 people (family members) can be easily accommodated: or for CORPORATE EVENTS we recommend max of 44 people (22 “couples” or employees + spouses) Meals: We provide a catered dinner the day you check-in. Continental, “help yourself” breakfast will be provided each morning. Other meals are your responsibility. There are no restaurants at Pirates Cove but several are within 5-10 minutes (drive) from the resort. Pirates Cove has a BBQ pit as well as full sized kitchens with all the amenities for preparing food. ACTIVITIES: We work with businesses to make this a team building event (there may be an extra charge depending on activities chosen) Activities away from the resort:  We will provide information on lots of activities away from the resort to enhance your getaway if you choose. We have negotiated discounts on exciting things to do all around the desert oasis—Boulder City.



 Note: Information packet will be arriving in August (for September event, or 2 weeks before summer event) with details concerning your exciting stay at famous Pirates Cove and TAdR event. We will provide you a receipt of donation for tax purposes within 3 weeks after the event.
